QUARTER 1 – WEEK 4: ARTS 4

Introduction

Colors are everywhere. From the three primary colors: red, blue and yellow, comes all the
colors.

Objectives

In this module, the learner is expected to:

 Identify the primary colors and secondary colors.


 Combine colors and produce another color.
 Differentiate geometric shapes and organic shapes.

Generalization

Based on the lesson that you have learned, in producing other colors, the primary color and
secondary colors are combined. Also, there are two types of shapes: the geometric and organic.

Application/ Valuing

Colors and shapes make the world meaningful. Without it, the world will be dull and boring.
What do you think is the importance of colors and shapes in our lives?

COLORS

From the three primary colors: red, blue, and yellow come all colors. If two primary colors
are combined, secondary colors are produced: green, violet, and orange. The mixture of one
primary and one secondary color produces tertiary colors.

SHAPES

Shapes are formed by connecting lines and enclosing a space. There are two main types
of shapes: geometric and organic. The elements of nature such as flowers, fruits, animals, plants
and landforms are organic. The regular figures like house, clothes, buildings, tables, bag, and
others are geometric.

The basic geometric shapes are circle, triangle, square, and rectangle.
