DESIGN
PHILOSOPHY
This architect's office is designed to cater to the
client's needs of all types of users involving
Architectural consultations and architectural services
and solving privacy and confidentiality issues. It is
also designed to have many interactive spaces
between the client and the architect on service to
interact, communicate and share ideas.
DESIGN
CONCEPT
Since the principal architect assigned me to design and
wants me to take aesthetics from the company's logo, this
commercial building/ architect's office will follow a modern
architectural style with a touch of Philippine culture. The
receptionist/ reception area will be located and can be seen
directly from the entrance. The logo will also be placed in
the reception area with lighting and a touch of being
Filipino. The conference room is suitable for six (6) people
at the back of the reception area. That room also has a
touch of Philippine culture. Since it is an office, there
should be a waiting area for those clients and visitors
waiting for their turn to be entertained by the architects
on duty. In this place, they can see photo exhibits of some
of the projects handled by the company. Beside the waiting
area is the Principal architect's office. It will use sliding
doors/glasses with a frozen tint to serve as a partition
wall. With the help of the tint, we can achieve the main
goal, privacy, and confidentiality.
The room next to the Principal architect's office is the
Production area. This area will use plywood as a wall
partition because it indicates that this room shall not be
visible from the reception area. This area consists of the
working area of the 3 CADD (computer-aided design and
drafting) and the Senior architect's office. The senior
architect's office will be separated from the 3 CADD
operator's working areas using a sliding door. With that,
the senior architect can supervise and watch the
performance of the CADD operators. Across the production
the area is the Pantry, where the supplies are stored.
