Experiment 7:
Constructing a Simple Circuit

Introduction
An electric circuit is a path in which electrons from a voltage or current source flow. The point where those electrons
enter an electrical circuit is called the "source" of electrons. The point where the electrons leave an electrical circuit is called
the "return" or "earth ground". The exit point is called the "return" because electrons always end up at the source when they
complete the path of an electrical circuit. The part of an electrical circuit that is between the electrons' starting point and the
point where they return to the source is called an electrical circuit's "load". In constructing this simple circuit, you can see the
components of a circuit in action.

Objective

 To construct a simple circuit.

Materials and Equipment

 Small LED / flashlight bulb  battery  wire

 masking / scotch tape  bondpaper

Experimental Procedure

Connect the battery with the wires, switch, and bulb, using masking tape as shown in the diagram. You can be creative in
constructing your circuit but make sure the basic elements are present.

Place your circuit on a piece of bond paper. Don’t forget to write your name on the bond paper. Take a picture of your circuit
(with your name) and attach it in this lab report.
