Some people think that shopping online is more practical than shopping in shops. Others disagree.

In the past couple of years, especially during the pandemic, shopping online became more
represented in the world. Small businesses, grocery stores, restaurants – everyone offers shopping
online. Mass of people views online shopping as a time saving activity. Others believe shopping in
person gives them a better vision on products they are purchasing.

While shopping online is relatively new to people all over the planet, there are many reasons why
shopping online can be more productive than shopping in stores. First and foremost, when shopping
online one can easily avoid waiting in long lines meaning, you can save your time to focus on more
important things and activities in your everyday life. Another advantage is that product choices online
are much wider than the ones in the store and therefore you are more likely to find an item you are
looking for.

On the other hand, shopping online has its disadvantages. Firstly, when shopping on internet there is
a larger risk of fraud if a buyer does not research the safety of the website they are buying from which
can result in identity theft, credit card scams, counterfeit products and other. Finally, when shopping
online you are not able to know exactly what is it you are buying meaning that the product you purchase
might not fulfill your expectations.

All things considered, shopping online has its advantages and disadvantages. One has to know their
preferences and priorities when choosing a certain form of shopping. Personally, I think shopping online
is great as long as the sites one is buying from are safe. Ultimately, however, it is a matter of ones
personal preference.
