Good night my classmates

Today I’m going to talk to you about

How does music influence our lives?

Music is a sound stimulus that affects the individual’s perceptual field; Thus, the
sound flow can fulfil various functions (entertainment, communication,
environment, fun, etc.). It also strengthens learning and memory, regulates stress-
related hormones, evokes experiences and memories, affects the heartbeat, blood
pressure and pulse and modulates the speed of brain waves.

Throughout our life this becomes something very important, from the stage that we
are babies our parents put music so that we stop crying or sing us a song to calm
us either invented or one that already exists and that they know.

Also at this stage we put music to bathe many times relaxing to improve this
experience and make the bathroom task easier.

Later we already grow up and sing or hum the songs that our parents like the most
regardless of their genre or content, but the melody for us is contagious,so much
so that even as adults we remember what songs they were and their lyrics or even
some part of the song.
In my case I remember that my father likes a song called Mi unicornio Azul by
Silvio Rodriguez and my mother likes very much the song Los caminos de la vida
sung by the group vallenato los diablitos.

Already as we grow we are choosing a genre of preference sometimes for its

content in its lyrics or other times for its rhythms or some want to follow their
dreams being singers or playing some instrument.

Many times we hear songs depending on the mood we’re in, although it is said that
when we are happy we look more at the rhythm of the songs and when we are sad
we look more at the lyrics and in a way help us to express how we feel at that
moment.

But music not only motivates our hatreds but also our body by performing some
task such as sports or trades at home we place music that encourages us to finish
a proposed activity. Or to dance and enjoy a good time.

If we realize there is always a song or melody for every moment for example on
birthdays, the party is sung a song before leaving the cake or at a wedding when
the bride walks towards the altar there is a melody more known as (the bridal
march).

A time when the musical genres vary the most is in the holidays there is if you
listen to everything from rock to popular music, these genres vary depending on
the genre that people who are gathered there like or also the genre that they want
to dance. Without music the party wouldn’t be the same.

If we stop to think about the lyrics of many songs tell experiences of artists or
composers, and we casually go through similar sentimental situations and feel
identified with their contents so much that many times they turn out to be dedicated
to someone special for us.

Sometimes artists are so special to us that somehow or other we imitate them in

their way of dressing or their gestures when singing.

Music or sounds usually make us feel comfortable and it’s something we like to
share. It only works in us humans but also in animals and
the plants.

There are also uncomfortable sounds like car whistles, doorbells and often alarms
are also annoying but in a certain way these sounds are necessary because they
are used to alert.

To finish some curious data of the music:

1.When you listen to music, a modification in your heartbeat is generated,

resembling the rhythm of the music you are listening to.

2. The musical worm is the feeling of having a song in mind by humming it most of
the day.

3. Our physical endurance can be increased considerably if we listen to the musical

style of rock or pop.

4. I’m sure you already knew this, but we can’t leave it out. When listening to music,
our brain releases a substance called dopamine, which generates pleasure, causing
you to listen to the music you like.

My message from everything said in the video is that you listen to the music that you
like no matter what others think, the music that only you feel and that in a certain
way moves you, among the thousands of genres and thousands of songs, you are
free to choose.

Thank you for your attention
