III. Presenting Problem

The client claims that both of his parents are farmers and work in the fields of sugarcane. His
older sister does not appear to have time to visit their parents since she appears to be preoccupied
with her family and their business. He asserted that although her life was better now, it wouldn't
bother them if she stopped providing for them financially. His other sister, who also lives nearby, helps
their parents with their jobs and takes care of the family's necessities, but she is also a mother to her
own family, so her contribution is still insufficient. The client is the only one left who requires
assistance, and he is committed to completing his studies to help their family.
IV. Background Information History
A. Client
a. Biological

The client states that the rest of his family is healthy and that his father has a condition that
occasionally causes his legs to swell with the exception of himself, who is allergic to alcoholic
beverages and seafood. He continued by saying that no serious illness had affected the family.

b. Social Context
The client said that despite having some financial issues, he is still committed to completing
his education. He asserts that because he can interact with others simply, he has trouble-free
relationships with his peers and others.

c. Psychological Context
The client claims that because their father is ailing and their parents are already elderly, they
prefer to avoid conflicts. Their father does not physically abuse them he added.
He finds comfort in playing chess, table tennis, badminton, and volleyball. He hopes to travel
overseas someday in order to provide for his family.

B. Family
a. Socio Economic Status of the Family
The client claims that his parents want their children to have a bright future someday.
They both put in a lot of effort to support the family. Even though they only have a little plot of land to
cultivate, their income is still insufficient, therefore their parents frequently work on other lands to
make profit. Since both of his sisters are already married and have their own children, they are unable
to always support him.

C. Environment/Community
The majority of the community's residents are farmers. They reside in a rural village that
contains roughly 70 families. The client's family has now resided in the neighborhood for 36 years.
They use CENECO to generate their electricity. The deep well serves as the neighborhood's water
supply. Even while it occasionally requires more time to gather water, this helps keep their water costs
lower than a metered water source. They also obtain their drinking water from there.
V. Current Family Functioning
a. Role Performance
The client described his family as being dedicated workers. He believes his parents are
responsible people.

b. Rules
The client said that as long as their children pass each class, his parents do not place
restrictions on their academic performance.

c. Relationships
The customer claims that they get along well with their parents. His two older sisters have
their own families and are already married. He stated that although though his elder sister's life is lot
better today, they don't mind if she doesn't assist them out financially. His other sister is the one who
assists their parents at work even yet, the earnings are still insufficient.
The client travels home three times a year and has one or two visits from his parent every
year. He said that because of their religious upbringing, they are all required to attend church every
Sunday, which also serves as a time for them to spend together.

VI. Assessment
Our client is a generous person who enjoys giving to his friends anytime he has extra.
Additionally he is talented in dance, the arts, and computers. He is a 22-year-old 2 nd year student who
lacks financial support yet need academic aid. He is aware that achieving his objectives requires hard
effort and a commitment to his studies.
The change in the client's interests that prompts him to change his course and prolong his
education is another problem that has to be addressed. Since his parents don't place a lot of
additional pressure on his education, he also indicated that he considered enrolling in a short-term
course so that he may start looking for a job straight immediately.

VIII. Recommendations
The client's basic requirements for shelter and support, as well as his desire to keep studying,
must be met. Additionally, it's crucial to keep the client motivated by praising him for any
advancement he makes. Cite his earlier successes to inspire him with confidence in himself while also
giving him credit for trying, even if he fails. This requires follow-up because there was already a gap
between him and his colleagues. Scholarship applications could help the client get financial aid.
