Task 1: Comprehension Questions: Instruction: The preceding input tackles the things to
consider when communicating with people of different cultures. Check your understanding of
the reading selection by answering the following questions:
1. How does each of the items in the following contrasting pairs differ from the other?
a) High- context vs. Low-context 
High context leaves much of the message unspecified, to be understood
through context, nonverbal cues, and between-the- line interpretation of what is
actually said. 
Low context is more expected messages to be explicit and specific
b) Sequential vs. Synchronic 
Sequential Culture is business people give full attention to one agenda item after

c) Affective vs. Neutral 

2. What does the author recommend that we do to be successful in cross-cultural
communication?
 That we must apply cultural intelligence and provide clues on what we will encounter
when dealing with members of a particular culture.
