Note 1: The “frequencies” indicated in this table are to be used only as a general reference. Transducers can operate at different
frequencies depending on the platform they are plugged into and the software revision that the platform is operating at. In general,
the frequencies are “close” to those indicated in the frequency column. Ultraband transducers operate at different frequencies
“simultaneously”. Also, some non-ultraband transducers operating on a SONOS 5500 will also operate at multiple frequencies
simultaneously (but will not have the extended bandwidth of an ultraband transducer). For these reasons, we need to be careful when
trying to be too definitive about the precise specifications of any given transducer.
Note 2: In the “Model Number” column you will see 2 different numbers. One is the product model number. The second is the
exchange part number for repair purposes.
Note 3: Each platform column, such as “S5500”, can show one of two things: Either the box is completely black, meaning that the
transducer is not supported on this system, or it shows a letter. The letter is the minimum software level the system must be at for
the transducer to work.
Note 4: This transducer is qualified for use as an endo-cavity probe on ImagePoint system, but it is qualified for use as endo-vaginal
on S5500.
Note 5: At D.0, a number of older transducers were made inoperable. For this reason, a new column was started that says = or > than
D.0. The older version transducers which were transferred to the D.0 platform are put in ( ) parenthesis to indicate the revision in which
the transducer was allowed for use on this platform. This was done because, in the past, we usually allowed the use of ALL previous
transducers even if they required an adapter to use.
Author’s Note: This guide is in two parts. Part I covers all transducers for the following platforms: Sonos 100A/B, 100CF, 200, 1000,
1500, OR, 2000, 2500, ImagePoint, 8500GP, S1800, Sonos 4500, and Sonos 5500 only up to Rev C.0. Volume II, begins with SONOS
4500/5500 at A.0, SONOS 7500/5500 at D.0, EnVisor at A.0 and includes all transducers on the newer platforms from that point
forward.
