1. General
This work method covers the requirement for the preparation and application of removing and
reinstallation of thermal insulation for ARD AL-WAHRAN Company in ZUBAIR OIL FIELD.
2. Purpose
The purpose of this method statement is to show the work scope and materials needed for the removing
and reinstallation of thermal insulation job.

Method of statement scope is doing all the steps of the process of removing the Rockwool insulation at first
and then reinstall a new one. Taking into consideration the safety procedures and to complete the work safely.
5. Responsibilities
Site Manager.
He will be the overall in charge of the operations.
Ensures that all workers follow the in house rules and Singapore Law
Ensure that all workers will be working on safe working conditions.
To enforce any corrective actions required by client

6. Materials

7. Application Procedures
7.1 General
Surfaces shall be clean of dirt, loose rust, scale, loose paint, oil, grease and other
foreignmatter.
All surfaces to be insulated shall be thoroughly dried before application of insulation.
Insulation material shall be protected from moisture and weather before and during
application. Applied insulation shall be free of moisture prior to application of
insulationfinish.
Insulation shall be applied with all joints, butted to eliminate voids. Any opening through the
insulation finish shall be flashed moisture tight.
Insulation shall be discontinued at flanged connection to permit removal of the studs.
The distance from the end of insulation to back of flange on both sides of the connection
shall beequal to one stud length plus 25mm.The ends of insulation shall be straight.
On horizontal piping, the longitudinal lap shall be positioned to shed rainwater and minimize
dust collection.
Working at height requirements shall be considered, the procedure of working at height
shall be implemented.

Special Precautions
Precautions to be taken in handling and storage: Keep material dry and minimize the generation of dust. Other Precautions: Use care in handling and storage of product to avoid
crushing, breaking or undue wearespecially on product edges.
To ensure that proper PPE to be worn as per MSDS attached, the most popular PPE are: respiratory mask, proper safety gloves, disposable coverall, etc. PPE usage will be
determining as per MSDS.

9. HSE
HSE Manager shall ensure that the work is performed accordance to the approved Construction Safety Manual and precautions specified in the
work permit. He shall ensure that barricades, warning tapes, warning signs, firefighting equipment and first aid kits are readily available at the
working area.
Tool box talk shall be conducted on a daily basis to inform the workers of the recent safety issues and incidents and to get feedback of any
unreported unsafe acts. Feedback will then be processed and resolved.
All Equipment and tools shall be checked for good conditions before commencing the work.
Unauthorized persons shall be excluded from the area.
On completion of job, the area shall be cleared of any materials and keep clean and tidy.
Hazard analysis for hazardous operation shall be carried out prior to commencing the works.
