II. Project Summary

The main goal of Project Activity Driven Strategy (A.D.S.) is to promote the holistic development of learners towards
achieving the quality education. Its goal is to help and guide learners to be equipped with 21 st century skills and hone purposeful
activities to develop higher-order thinking skills, such as improving the critical-thinking skills of Grade 12 learners in their Social
Science subject. Furthermore, this project follows the major component of skills to develop, to wit: memorizing, organizing and
understanding activities (Limbu, 2012).
Project A.D.S. is anchored on the constructivism theory where learners will construct knowledge for themselves,
receive opportunities to engage with the knowledge given to them and critical-thinking skills can be developed.
The teacher will create and gather various activities and instructional materials, which shall be applied via face-to, face
classes, namely: activity sheets, PowerPoint presentations, video clips, pictures, puzzles, lecture notes and E sources.
This project will provide for an intervention which was designed to encourage learners’ active participation in their
learning tasks and experiences through varied activities, including, independent investigation, analysis and creativity based on
their learning context.
Furthermore, this aims for the learners’ higher-order thinking skills (H.O.T.S.) to be more exercised as they will be given
more opportunities to learn, analyze and evaluate information by gathering and relating their knowledge through their personal
experiences as evidenced by their outputs as well as by developing among them the values of team work and social skills within
their own contexts and experiences.
The teacher-proponent will conduct literacy activities for the identified Grade 12 learners enrolled in Bolingit National
High School, encompassing the MELCS covered in the Social Science subject within the periods of Third and Fourth Quarters.
The school administrators, together with the department heads and Division supervisors may monitor the implementation
of the project for their suggestions and comments and to provide technical assistance, if needed.

Coordination and collaboration with the concerned learners will also be done to harness their support and to ensure the
success of this project. An estimated budget of twenty-five thousand pesos (10,000.00) will be allocated for the crafting,
evaluating, dissemination and utilization of the varied learning activities or tasks included in the Project A.D.S.
