2.0 INTRODUCTION:

This advisory wire revision provides an update on the availability of the Batch
3 upgrade. The Batch 3 is an upgrade to the Honeywell avionics suite for the
Global Express, Global 5000 and Global Express XRS aircraft. The articles
on Batch 3 (ref 1.1 and 1.2) provide key elements to help operators plan for
the incorporation of these respective service bulletins.

3.0 DESCRIPTION:

The month of June was very productive in the effort between Honeywell and
Bombardier to complete virtually all of the deliverables for certification of the
Batch 3. On July 5, 2011, Bombardier held a Final Type Board Meeting for
the Batch 3 with Transport Canada. The purpose of the Final Type Board
meeting is to agree with the regulatory authority on the remaining steps to
achieve certification. On July 7, Transport Canada held a caucus with the
FAA and relayed to Bombardier that Transport Canada and the FAA have
some questions/concerns with certain remaining elements of the FMS logic in
Batch 3.

Bombardier will be providing Transport Canada and the FAA with detailed
responses regarding their questions/concerns and will be holding meetings
throughout July and August with both authorities to bring about the approval
and fielding of this latest version of the software.

EASA is also being updated on our progress to ensure that European

approval is achieved shortly after Transport Canada/FAA approval.

As soon as the authorities are satisfied with our plan to proceed with the
current version of Batch 3, the FAA will proceed with the Operational
Evaluation Flight Testing, to support approval of the training syllabus and
Entry Into Service (EIS) of Batch 3. This is planned to take place during late
July or early August.

The fielding of Batch 3 in its current configuration in Q3/2011 continues as

the plan for Bombardier and Honeywell.

4.0 ACTION:

The next revision of this Advisory Wire to update Operators on progress of

Batch 3 certification and EIS will be in August 2011.
