advanced features of a slide presentation tool to create a multimedia presentation

What I Need to Know

In this module, you will learn the Uses of advanced features of a slide
presentation tool to create a multimedia presentation with text, graphics, and photos;
hyperlinked, you will also learn how to use multimedia presentation using a
moviemaking application.

Multimedia Presentation is a computer software package used to show

information, normally in the form of a slideshow. It mostly includes three major
functions: an editor that allows text to be inserted and formatted, a method for
inserting and manipulating graphic images and slideshow system to display the

The lesson comes with activities designed to determine your progress. You
have to answer each to the best of your ability. Hopefully, after learning this module,
you will be equipped with knowledge and skills in posting and sharing materials on
blogs in safe and responsible manner.

The most common and easiest way to create a multimedia presentations is by

using Microsoft PowerPoint. Editing the presentations, inserting pictures, videos,
and sounds and adding animations and effects are all easy to do using Microsoft
PowerPoint.

MY PICTURE, MY POWERPOINT!
1. Using desktop or laptop (if it is already installed), look for the PowerPoint
presentation icon.

2. To create a beautiful slide presentation using the PowerPoint presentation

tool. First, choose a good background design. Just click “DESIGN” at the top
of your desktop.

3. You can choose your design. Just click it and it will appear in your PowerPoint
Presentation.

4. This is your PowerPoint Presentation with a design. You can start your slide
presentation by text or display. Click “ADD TITLE” and insert image from your
documents.

5. This will appear after you click “ADD TITLE

6. Select the image you wanted to insert, click the image then proceed to
“open” to insert the image.

7. This is the first page of your slide presentation with pictures and text. If you
want to add a slide just repeat the process of making the slide presentation.

8. After making your slide presentation and you wanted to embed/add audio and
video to make your slide presentation more knowledgeable and
comprehensive, you can follow this steps.

a. for audio: click the audio icon then select from your save audios, then
click “ open” to embed the audio of your choice.

b. for video: click the video icon then select from your save videos, then
click “ open” to embed the video of your choice.

ACTIVITY 3 Post a Blog!

Nowadays one of the most profitable task even we are on our home hit
by a lockdown because of corona virus pandemic throughout the globe is by
posting a significant videos on Youtube. And one way to make that videos is
by using different moviemaking applications available in the market today.

A lot of moviemaking applications are available, but today we will focus

only to the most popular and user friendly application, the KineMaster.

Here’s the step by step process on how to maneuver the Kinemaster apps.
1. Open your browser to google.com

2. Download the KineMaster Application

3. Open the application, then click the big video clip

4. Then select aspect ratio in your own choice.

5. Next, click the media

6. Choose photos/videos then click.

7. Click check icon.

8. If you want to add text just click layer.

9. If you want to add background music, just click the audio.

10. Then click the forward icon, to proceed in export and share.

 What is It

Let’s be informed!
If you are going to use slide presentations, here are some useful tips
to follow:
• Background color should be dark such as black or navy blue.
• Font color should be in contrast with dark background such as white,
• Font size should be around 32 to make it readable to a large audience.
Recommended font type is sans serif.
• Do not crowed your slide with too many texts and graphics, Twenty five
words is the standard maximum to follow.
• Original graphics and illustrations are more effective especially if you are
establishing a brand.
• If you intend to use some color combinations, consult the color wheel.
• Just present ideas on bulleted forms.

How to put animation to slides?

1. Click on the image, text, or textbox you would like to animate. Choose
Animations tab from the menu bar.
2. Choose the type of animation that you prefer. Click Custom Animation
for more specific options. Then choose Add Effect to see the several
options found in entrances, exits, emphasis, and paths.
3. You may further customize the animations used by rearranging its
sequence, defining how you want to start it, and indicating its duration
and font style.
4. Preview the effect by either going to slideshow mode, clicking Preview or
Play button or pressing the F5 key on your keyboard.

How to add video clips from file?

Audio and video are really great tools to make any presentation
interesting and exciting. Here are the procedures.
1. Choose the slide that you want to use. Click INSERT tab from the Menu
bar. Then go Media Clips.
2. Choose the Movie button. Click on the small downward arrow below the
Movie button. Several options will be present but simply choose Movie
from File.
3. Find the file that you want to insert. Click on the file once to it and click
on the OK button.
4. Answer the dialog box that will appear asking your preferred way of
starting the video in the slide show. Once done, you may adjust the size
of the video.
5. To modify the playback options of the video, click it once. You may
customize the options that will appear in the menu bar of the Options
tab.

 How to add music to slides?

Adding music tracks, voice overs, or sound effects to a Power point

presentation will make the presentation interesting and enjoyable. Here are
the steps to follow when adding them.

1. Choose the slide where you want the music to appear. From the menu,
click the INSERT tab. Then go to Media Clips.
2. Click the Sound button, then select Sound from File when you click the
downward arrow below the Sound button. Browse in the dialog box to
choose the music file. Then click OK.
3. Answer the dialog box asking the way you want your sound to be played
in your slides. Once done, the sound icon will appear in your slide.
4. Reposition the sound icon that will appear in you slide.
5. To adjust playback options, click the sound icon. You may customize the
options that will appear in the Options tab.
