1. Get in the google classroom on the scheduled

time for every course and section.
2. You will be provided with the copy of the
powerpoint presentation for lecture and printed
copy of the worksheets to printed
3. Both online and offline classes will be used in our
subject.

Who created NSTP?

The NSTP was established by

virtue of RA 9163 otherwise
known as the National Service
Training Program Act of 2001

What is the
significant of NSTP?
The purpose of this program is
to recognize the Youth's vital role
in nation- building, promote
consciousness among youth and
develop their physical, moral,
spiritual, intellectual and social
well-being. It shall inculcate in
the youth patriotism, nationalism,
and advance their involvement in
public and civic affairs 15
How does NSTP
help students?
The findings of the study
suggest that NSTP courses are
effective and they influenced
the self-improvement,
performance, community
involvement, and
demonstration of abilities and
skills of the students to an
extent. 16
What will become of NSTP
graduates?
Graduates of the CWTS and LTS
components of the NSTP
shall belong to the National Service
Reserve Corps (NSRC)
and could be tapped by the State
for literacy and civic welfare
activities, especially in times of
calamities while graduates of the
ROTC program shall form part of
the Citizen Armed Force.

Why do we need to
study NSTP?

NSTP or the National Service

Training Program is needed in a
college's curriculum because it
instill in our youth a sense of
patriotism for our country. It also
prepares them to be socially
aware and responsible individual
members of the community.

Is NSTP an
academic subject?
Under the NSTP Program, both
male and female college
students of any baccalaureate
degree course or technical
vocational course in public or
private educational institutions
are obliged to undergo one of
three program components for
an academic period of two

What is the purpose
of R.A. 9163?
The primary objective of the
NSTP law (R.A. 9163) is to
promote the role of the youth in
nation-building. It aims to
encourage the youth to become
civic and/or military leaders and
volunteers whom could be called
upon by the nation in case their
services are needed.

What is literacy all about in
NSTP?
Literacy Training Service (LTS) is
a component of NSTP that
focuses on training students to
become teachers of reading-
writing literacy and numeracy to
children, out-of-school youth, and
other segments of society.

 What is the duration and equivalent course
unit of each of the NSTP component?

Each of the NSTP components

shall be undertaken for an
academic period of two (2)
semesters for 54 training hours
per semester. It shall be credited
for three (3) units per semester .

What is Literacy Training
Service all about?
This course is designed to provide
students with adequate knowledge
of the various principles and
methods relevant to the teaching
and learning process. It aims to
strengthen the knowledge, skills
and values of the youth to make
them more responsive in the pursuit
of peace and development.

Is NSTP a prerequisite for
graduation?
Male and female students of any
baccalaureate degree course or
at least two (2)-year technical-
vocational courses in public and
private educational institutions
shall be required to complete one
(1) of the NSTP components
as requisite for graduation

What will the students receive
after completing NSTP program?

The graduates received a certificate in

finishing their NSTP course. The
National Service Training Program is a
training program for students enrolled
in tertiary as well as
vocational/technical educational
institutions mandated by the state
through R.A. 9163 or the “National
Service Training Program Act of 2001

1. Only one output per virtue group or class
2. Plan a video advertisement about your course and section and include the following
