Title: Counting and recognizing numbers up to 100

Relevant SC Standards:

K.NS.1 Count forward by ones to 100.

K.NS.2 Count forward by ones beginning from any number less than 100.

K.NS.3 Read numbers from 0 – 20 and represent several objects 0 – 20 with a written numeral.

Description: This app lesson will develop Kindergarten students understanding of


numbers up to 100.

Instructional Objective: Students will be able to count to 100 and recognize any
number up to 100. They will be able to count objects and write the number of how
many objects there are. This will teach students to not only be able to count, but to
write and recognize numerals. It will allow students to begin counting from any
number.

Step 1: Students will watch an educational video on Khan Academy teaching how to
count to 100, using a number song.

Step 2: Students will use the ShowMe app, to voice record themselves drawing objects
and counting them. This will show they are able to count while using objects. They will
write the number of how many objects they drew.

Step 3: After, students will take an assessment on IXL testing their ability to count to
100 using objects. They will then take a screenshot of their process and submit to the
teacher, for an assessment.
