Objectives

● At the end of the lesson the students will be able to:


1. Know information about dance and rhythmic activities;
2. Distinguish the different rhythmic activities covered in Physical
Education 3
3. Understand the basic dance positions.

Rhythmic Activities

● It refers to the bodily responses to any type of rhythmic accompaniment


that will provide leeway to the people to satisfy their need for self
expression.

Dance

● Is a rhythmic and expressive body movements, usually coordinated into a


pattern and adopted to musical accompaniment.

Rhythm

➢ An ordered recurrent alternation of strong and weak elements in the flow of


sound and silence.
Design

➢ Also known as the choreography, It is defined as the systematically


arrangement of movements used into a presentation.

Technique

➢ Is the basis of all fundamentals of dance, is defined as the accurate body


movements used in dance to perform an eloquent interpretation and
system.

Dynamics

➢ It adds texture , color, interest and variety to a dance and can help to show
the dance idea.

Gestures
➢ Movement of any part of the body that is not weight bearing. And mostly
depicted by personality.
