Selig and Lind: Project Manager Replacing Report

Introduction:
This report will focus on choosing the most suitable candidate for the Project Manager
position.
Body:
Candidate 1: Ruth
Ruth gives clear instructions which must be carried out, she makes sure deadlines must
be met at all costs. But she seems not listening to staff as well as caring about their
feelings.
Candidate 2: Eduardo
He is good at starting out staff problems as well as dealing with international staff.
However, he holds a lot of team meetings, it wastes too much time.
Candidate 3: Kazuo
It’s significant that he believes the company is more important than the individual, so he
never lets the company down. Even so, there seems to be contradiction between his
stated wish to consult staff on all decisions, but no permit to arguments.
Candidate 4: Martina
It’s realistic that Martina uses the bonus system to motivate the staff because our team
morale is low, she also makes the right decisions as quick as possible. Yet she does not
give clear instructions.
Conclusion:
The other candidates have their own strengths and weaknesses, but I like Martina’s
combination of using bonus system to motivate the team morale while allowing people
to work in their own way. For these reasons, I would like to recommend selecting
Martina for the Project Manager position.
