Reflection

Teaching is considered as one of the most prominent noble profession workforces in the
society. It is not only a potentially prestigious profession, but also a unique lifelong
career opportunity. As an intern with this program “Practice Teaching”, I should undergo
a training which is to have an actual experience in the field of teaching. Unfortunately, a
crisis stroke and affected the mode of learning of the learners which changed into
modular/blended learning yet it is not a hindrance to stop the goal of the teachers. So,
exploring teaching is popular tactic for us to enhance professional skills, perform
efficiently and improve qualities as a future teacher. On this point, school administrative
and teachers who facilitate this program encourage us fourth year college students to
experience this authentic course framework.

As future teacher I must secure the content of the lesson properly, clearly and legibly to
assure the quality in which are acceptable and reliable that fit to the students’
intelligence. Curriculum guide is essential to obtain learning outcomes. It makes the
modules standard as it is the reference of the lesson. Teacher must also knowledgeable
in the said topic to guide the confusion of the students. He should make ways to relay
the information to his students. Moreover, teacher must be flexible even the mode of
learning changes. When engaging the students and motivated them; it starts in the
classroom. The classroom or the school must promote conducive place for learning.
Hence, it is the new normal where appears the changes the mode of learning; the
teacher helps the students to create a community where students can get along with.
Students must feel comfortable and secure not only with the place but also how the
teacher interacts and shows affection to the learners. In addition, the teacher should
plan a variety way to provide collaboration with the students. In terms of communication
with your students as they are diverse in different levels. Since the mode of learning
changed, the teacher should choose activities that fit to the various learners. Never let
them confused in the lesson and left them hanging as they are afraid to approach you.
Be enthusiastic, so that you can build harmonious relationship to the students.
Teacher should provide techniques to develop students’ knowledge and skills. Since
they are the center part of the curriculum. We should feed the hungry minds to ensure
lifelong learners and responsible citizens. The teacher should not only focus on the
subject matter, yet enable to set values and the purposes for teach and learning
process. Curriculum and planning are dynamic, so teacher should explore variety ways
to plan what’s best for his teaching style. Moreover, the strategic decision making of the
teacher putting into action where he will organize not only the intended outcomes,
assessment, pedagogy and so on but the entire aspect of educational learning. You
can’t expect that all student has progress especially in this new mode of learning. The
teacher should be more flexible specially to cater the queries of the students. Moreover,
teacher should still gather information about the progress of the students in learning to
think ways how to indicate areas for further development. The record of their information
should not be leak as it is confidential and must valid evidence as to provide information
to students and parents. To sum it up the teacher must identify the areas of strengths
and weaknesses in students’ skill set and knowledge.

In overall. as future teacher, I should teach the students in different ways to reinforce
them and apply their learning in meaningful experiences. I will practice being a
progressivist teacher by teaching the learners knowledgeably about their lessons to
avoid confusion and relate it to their personal experience. In addition, I will reinforce my
students by giving those awards for their effort in the given activities as I promote
independence and experiential learning. Moreover, teaching them manners and
discipline by following rules to be responsible in and outside the classroom.
