Values Valuing Value the importance of safety precaution while working
2. Content Follow OHS procedures in inspecting and testing configured computer systems and networks
3. Learning Resources Gradae 10 ICT Learning Module, TG, CG, Web.
4. Procedures
4.1 Introductory Activity
5 minutes
The class will answer the 10 item question using OER application (Who wants to be a millionaire)

4.2 Activity In order to ignite students attention and give them idea about the new lesson they will be ask the similarity of these pictures:

5 minutes

4.3 Analysis The teacher will show a video presentation about the similarity of a computer network cable to the human body's central nervous
system.

Base on the video shown if our brain is connected to a spine that sends information to other parts of our body- how does a
5 minutes
networking device distributes signals to all other computers connected within the network?
4.4 Abstraction The class will have a discussion about the following:
- Most common types of ethernet cable and its characteristics.
- The wiring standards of creating ethernet cables, (memorizing the correct color order through the use of a song tune)
- Showing them materials needed in fabricating LAN cables
15 minutes - Showing them the steps in fabricating LAN cables

4.5 Application The class will be divided into groups with eight members, and the class will play the message relay game. - Each group
will be ask to enumerate the wire color arrangement of the standard wiring assigned to them.

After the game, the teacher will check their answers and give them the tools and materials needed and ask them to fabricate
it( straight through and cross over cable)

4.6 Assessment Testing the functionality of the cable. Always take into considerations that before using
Anlysis of Learners' Products the cable in connecting actual devices. It is suggested that you must use a LAN tester
10 minutes first to check the functionality of the cable
4.7 Assignment
2 minutes
Enhancing / improving the day’s lesson Create the other type of cable opposite to what is already fabricated.
4.8 Concluding Activity
Ask a volunteer to sum up todays lesson in 60 seconds.: ELEVATOR PITCH: LAN Cabling is the process of creating a LAN Cable
which is used in interconnecting computers. There are two types of LAN Cable The Cross Over and Straight Through. Straight
3 minutes Through is used to connect many computers with the use of HUB. There are several tools and materials used in LAN Cabling like
UTP Cable, Wire Stripper, Crimping tool and the LAN tester.
