    The first component of the case study that I conducted with the student includes an interest

    inventory. The purpose of administering the interest inventory was so I could discover JJ’s

    interests, hobbies, likes, and dislikes. One of JJ’s main interests includes video games. He is very

    interested in the science fiction realm and many things related to technology. I used some of the

    information gathered about the student to tailor some of the topics of my strategies to be geared

    towards his main interests.
