Tattoos were considered a part of religious ceremonies and rituals in the past but it has

become a trend to have tattoos nowadays. The reason is that they are worn by popular figures

such as celebrities and wrestlers who are admired and followed by millions of people. This is

the reason it has become acceptable for all as they are in trend. The cultural appropriation and

cultural appreciation of the tattoo is depending upon the history of the symbol or pattern

drawn on the body. Some tattoos are culture oriented and have some history or school of

thought to be followed. It might be a religious or political representation. Some tattoos are for

appreciation such as the symbol of infinity and freedom. Appreciation could be acceptable

but reaching an extreme to appreciate may turn into appropriation that reflects your centered

views and rigidity on something. America has a diverse history of tattoos where tattoos are

viewed distinctively in each culture.
