CHOCOLATE HILLS -The Chocolate Hills are a geological formation in the Bohol province of the
Philippines. There are at least 1,260 hills but there may be as many as 1,776 hills spread over an
area of more than 50 square kilometres. They are covered in green grass that turns brown during
the dry season, hence the name.

SINULOG FESTIVAL -Sinulog Festival or Santo Nino Festival is an annual

religious and cultural festival in Cebu. The festival is thought to be the first of
the most well-known festivals in the Philippines.
It also attracts between 1 to 2 million visitors from all over the country every
year and gives travelers the opportunity to join Cebu tours and explore the
many attractions of the province. Visitors from across the world will also
benefit from making Sinulog Festival and Cebu the gateway to their
Philippine trip. Whether you're a first-timer or a repeat visitor, the festival
will be a memorable experience.
Besides the religious part of the celebration, Sinulog is also well-known for its
street parties before the day of celebration and during the day of the festival.
RIZAL PARK-The city of Manila is known for so many things—cool museums,
preserved Spanish structures, the world’s oldest Chinatown, and the historic
sites where some of the most significant events in Philippine history took place.
Mention this city and without a doubt, Rizal Park automatically comes to mind.

While it’s popularly known for being the site where the Philippine National Hero
Dr. Jose Rizal was executed, Rizal park is more than that.

LAPU-LAPU- (1491-1542), whose name was first recorded as Çilapulapu,[5] was

a datu of Mactan in the Visayas. He is best known for the Battle of Mactan that happened at dawn
on April 27, 1521, where he and his warriors defeated the forces of Portuguese explorer Ferdinand
Magellan and his native allies Rajah Humabon and Datu Zula.[6][7] Magellan's death ended his voyage
of circumnavigation and delayed the Spanish occupation of the islands by over forty years [8] until the
expedition of Miguel López de Legazpi in 1564. Legazpi continued the expeditions of Magellan,
leading to the colonization of the Philippines for 333 years.
Modern Philippine society regards him as the first Filipino hero because of his resistance to imperial
Spanish colonization. Monuments of Lapulapu have been built all over the Philippines to honor
Lapulapu's bravery against the Spaniards. The Philippine National Police and the Bureau of Fire
Protection use his image as part of their official seals.
Besides being a rival of Rajah Humabon of neighboring Cebu, very little is reliably known about the
life of Lapulapu. The only existing primary source mentioning him by name is the account of Antonio
Pigafetta, and according to historian Resil B. Mojares, no European who left a primary record of
Magellan's voyage/vessel "knew what he looked like, heard him speak (his recorded words of
defiance and pride are all indirect), or mentioned that he was present in the battle of Mactan that
made him famous."[9] His name, origins, religion, and fate are still a matter of controversy.
