SECTION – A (40 Marks)

a. A student measures the thickness of an object by two different instruments and
reports it to be (i) 0.853cm and (ii) 0.85cm. Mention the least counts in each case.
b. 12.5 J work is done in transferring 2.5C charge through a metallic wire. Calculate
the potential difference.
c. In the following diagram velocity-time graph is shown. The area of each triangle is
50m.Find the distance and displacement.

ii. When we step ashore from a rowing boat, it tends to leave the shore. Explain.

a. The coefficient of volume expansion of glass is 2.7x10−5/℃. If a bottle holds 50cm3 at
15 ℃, find its capacity at 25℃.

figure. One of them is highly polished while the other is dull and dark. What will be
your observation in the thermometers? Explain your answer.

the pressure on the third floor is 30000 Pa. Calculate the height of third floor.

d. A positively charged conductor is placed very close to a conductor A which is
placed on an insulator. It is touched with another conductor B as shown. Observe
