PROGRESS REPORT
Title: Small space gardening

Overview of the Activity or Task

This task helps me to gain knowledge about gardening and developed my self confidence. And
also developed my skills of observation .

Observation and Insights

Day 1 ( March 24)
 During this time, I prepare all the materials like flower pot, soil, water and seeds. The seeds
that I bought is chili labuyo. I chose this because I like spicy foods. The step that I did is first I
pour the soil and next is I set it to half and next I planted all of my seeds and after that I pour
a little water in the end. This task help me to gain knowledge about gardening and developed
my self confidence. And also developed my skills of observation .

Day 14 ( April 7)

During this time. When I checked it I was disappointed because nothing grows. I always check
it and watered it everyday , why is it still not growing?. So I decided to wait it for a day or week if
there is a change.
Day 18 (April 11)

During this time, finally my plant grows. I don't know why is it slow but at least I won't worry
anymore. What I did here is watering it and expose it to sunlight , I just wait it in the next day or
week hoping that it will grow faster.
Day 29 (April 22)

During this time, I was a little disappointed because for almost 11 days it is just like the same. I
thought it was dead, but I saw a little leaf grows in it.
Reflection:
Based on my experience, I thought planting a seed is easy but it is not. You have to check it and
watering it everyday to maintain it’s plant growth. I took extra care it every time and watered it.
There is the time that it is rainy, I always put my flower pot inside my house because I don’t want
to damage my plant, maybe that is why it is growing slow or maybe it is exposed to too much sun.
I was also disappointed during that time because I thought my plant died. I realize that growing
plant is like growing our children, we have to take care of it to survive and give them the important
that they need.
