The spirit of the Christmas season was indeed felt at the Capitol as the

Provincial Government of Davao Oriental threw a splendid Christmas get-

together for all its 3,000-strong workforce Thursday night.
With a children’s party theme, the colorful and vibrant celebration held at
the Capitol Covered Court saw Capitol workers donning their best kiddie
attire in a magical evening that allowed them to set free their inner child
vibe and enjoy the fun and excitement all throughout the night.
During the celebration, the employees also cheered on their co-cluster
members who participated in the dance competition and special
performances. Party-goers also enjoyed the dances and entertainment and
shared the sumptuous yet simple food and drinks prepared for everyone.

The employees felt the Christmas season even more with the highly
anticipated announcement of Governor Corazon N. Malanyaon, who gave
generous Christmas bonuses to the provincial government workers this
year.
Employees with plantilla positions, including regular and casual
employees, will receive not less than P50,000. This bonus comprises:
•            Performance Based Bonus (PBB) which is 65% of their basic salary in
December 2021,
•            Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) Bonus of P25,000,
•            Productivity Enhancement Incentive (PEI) of P5,000, and
•            Governor’s Bonus of P20,000
Following the wage adjustment computation, Job Order employees who
served from July to December 2022 will receive a maximum of P20,000.
Job orders who served less than six months will receive a bonus based on
the number of months they had served.
Consultants, on the other hand, will receive a maximum of P30,000. Their
bonuses will still follow the wage adjustment computation based on the
months served.
All employees, including plantilla, job orders, and all those connected with
the provincial government, will receive one sack of rice.
During last night’s merriments, raffle prizes were also given away. Major
prizes include cash and home appliances.
A tribute was also given to the retirees to express the provincial
government’s gratitude to them for giving the best years of their lives in
government service. Seven of these retirees received a cash gift of P50,000
each.
