Marquee Tools

1) Rectangular Marquee Tool:


this Marquee tool is used to select a square or rectangular area of
a picture
2) Elliptical Marquee Tool:
This Marquee tool is used for circular and oval selections.

This single row marquee tool is used to select a single row of
pixels
4) Single Column Marquee Tool :
This tool is used to select a single column of pixels

The lasso tool is used to crate irregularly shaped

GIF Graphic Interchange Format

• A GIF is a lossless file format for image files that


supports both animated and static image
PSD Photoshop Document

• PSD file is a layered Image file used in Adobe


Photoshop. It is the default format that Photoshop
uses for saving data .
• PSD is proprietary file that allowed the user to
work with the image 'individual layers even after
the file has been saved when an image is complete
Photoshop allows the user to flatten he layers and
convert the flat image into a JPG,TIFF,PNG or
other file format
Advantage of PSD

• A background can be created on one layer, then


can be added on second layer , a drop shadow on
third layer and text
