Event Proposal

The Event

We plan on hosting a water based event on the property of broadway at the


beach utilizing their water access, restaurants, amusements and other features.
This event will be accessible through ticket purchase and will include some free
food and other food and amenities available for separate purchase, along with
games and activities included with the ticket purchase.
Preliminary financials of Broadway at the Beach

● Broadway at the Beach is bringing in $6.47 million in revenue annually


according to Dun & Bradstreet.
● Broadway at the Beach is the number one tourist attraction in Myrtle Beach
and is a subsidiary of Burroughs & Chapin a South Carolina based real
estate company
● Burroughs & Chapin brought in $122.19 million in sales in 2021 according to
Dun & Bradstreet.
CCU Recreation

● Coastal Carolina University’s Department of Recreation offers various


programs and services
● We will be utilizing the Outdoor Recreation Program which provides
equipment rentals, trips, workshops, and team development opportunities
● Renting kayaks, paddleboards, and canoes
● Rentals are done at the outdoor center located in the HTC Student
Recreation and Convocation Center
EXPENSES
Profit Margin
Tickets= $30/Person

● $12 of ticket goes towards food

250 tickets sold= $7,500

● $4,500 after food expenses

500 tickets sold= $15,000

● $9000 after food expenses

120 t-shirts sold at $18= $2,160

● $1,320 after purchasing fee


Other Incomes

10 companies have set up their own stations to take place during the event

● $200 for their designated area for the day ($2,000)

10 other companies have paid to have flyers, banners and other promotional items set up within the
event space

● $75 for on site promotion for the day ($750)

Multiple raffles with tickets for $3

● All prizes totals add up to $500 / expected to sell at least 1,500 tickets
● Minimum $4,000 profit
Total Profit

Minimum Projected Ticket Sales= $12,570

Maximum Projected Ticket Sales= $17,070

Average Ticket Sales= $14,820

*Does not include other possible revenue from activities during event*

Lowest Expected Profit= $1,320


Final Expenses Statement

If the event performs to its projected weakest outcome it gives us a $1,320 profit
before potential client sales to accommodate for potential extra expenses.

With the event performing any better then the projected lowest outcome the
profit exponentially rises giving us plenty of room for unaccounted expenses and
profit for the firm.
Marketing Deliverables

● Flyers - Place them at highly populated areas around Coastal campus


● Social Media - Instagram Account - BeachDayatBroadway
● Giveaways - Get 5 free tickets - Post our event on your Instagram story and
tag our account, a winner will be randomly selected
● Early bird special - Get 5 dollars off your ticket if you buy it a week prior to
our event
Marketing Deliverables Costs

● CPM - Cost per thousand impressions


● Instagram CPM - $50 for 5000 impressions
● 300 Flyers - $200

Tasks and Preparation

● Rent kayaks, paddleboards, and canoes from CCU rec center


● Transport equipment (Uhaul truck, trailers, etc.)
● Section off an area of water and set boundaries
● Set up event
● Implementat rules and safety
● Instruct staff members on their duties and responsibilities

● Reach out to different catering companies to see which will give us the best
price
● Reach out to friends and family members to make an appearance at the
event (get as much people as possible)
● Securing the right amount of equipment based off of ticket sales
