You are required to complete both sections on this sheet and place the content in your Weebly section called Evaluation.

Wherever you use a quote from any other source, please say where you got it from or it could result in a PLAGIARISM
mark which would automatically fail the unit.
Task 1/2: Reflect on how your work fits your audience (U10:LO3_AC3.1)
Please answer ALL boxes in order to pass this section. You can include screen grabs and links to help. This section is about
evaluating how your work fits the audience you have chosen to target. Answer all three questions fully with supporting
images, links and evidence of audience/survey feedback.

Choose THREE existing professional versions aimed at the same audience/genre as your work. How does yours compare to them? BE
SPECIFIC.
Example 1 of 3

https://youtu.be/7Gh7yJ4sj8k

Something your loop does as well

In the video the fishing rod bobs up and down which is the same thing I did with my bushes when I made them
asset warps.

Something the example does better

The video makes the tweens and stop-mo’s that move feel a lot more subtle and less out there and obviously making it
easier on the eyes.
How you would improve yours based on this
I would have made more tweens and/or Stop-Mo’s that blend in with the background better and move calmer to make
my ambient loop more detailed and subtle.

Example 2 of 3

https://youtu.be/uucYyzp0lr0

Something your loop does as well

The video has a bird flying through the scene which I have as well with my bird that fly’s at two different points in the time.
Line.

Something the example does better

It has a really good water affect with both the waterfall and lake which looked well done and the join between them looked
nice and blended.
How you would improve yours based on this
I would have completed the shinning water affect I was planning on doing as well as adding water drops or even a rain
Effect.

Example 3 of 3
URL/link, image and description
https://youtu.be/P8yRRRkAHb8

Something your loop does as well

The palm leaves on the palm tree were moving as tweens back and forth when in my I had three bushes that were asset
warps swaying from different angles.

Something the example does better

All of the palm leaves act as individual tween pieces that move in different directions with the wind making it more
natural and realistic.
How you would improve yours based on this
I would have made the three different sets of bush’s I made even more separate by have the multiple leaves in each of
them be individuals making them more believable

Results and reflection of your survey

Show evidence of your audience feedback and reflect on what it tells you.

What patterns or trends did you notice from your audience feedback?
Almost all of my audience feedback liked the music and how it went with the jungle theme. A lot of people liked the
movement of the branch and bushes and the art style to them. The main thing people didn’t like was around the shading of
the branch and how it went with the tree. When came to improvements the feedback said that I could have added more
insects or animals to give more to the ambient loop.
What did you learn from thinking about this?
I learnt that the music or sound choice you choose can make a massive difference in the video both good and bad. I have also
learnt that the art or colour style for the pieces you add in had to flow with the background to make it feel it goes together
How might you make improvements to your work based on what you’ve learnt from your audience? Be specific
I would have defiantly added more animals to the ambient loop as well as been more careful with the colour or certain things
like the branch. I would have also been more precise with the way I moved the bushes and made them flow together
better.

Conclusions on your audience feedback

Based on what you’ve learnt above, write about whether your feel your work is fit for your specific audience overall.
Remember to say why and prove it
I feel that the audience feedback I got fitted my specific audience as firstly the gender of people that watched my video
was 50/50 and the age for everyone was between 16 and 25. Most of the positive comments regarding the video were
based around the branch, bushes and bird as well as their movement and swaying. The music was also liked with no need for
improvement by nearly all of my audience. The main things that was needing to be improved based off the feedback was to
add more forest like sounds and maybe another animal to give it more life. Both the gender and age groups of the audience
was well fitted to my specific audience which was not meant for a specific gender and age was meant to be for 14 to 30
years olds with the feedback fit to. All the feedback talking about the jungle aspect itself was also within my specific target
audience regarding people who like tropical jungle themes.

Task 2/2: Reflect on your own skills, processes and personal development (U10:LO3_AC3.2)
Please answer ALL sections fully in order to pass this section. You can include screen grabs and links to help. This section is
about how you feel your creative abilities and processes have improved during this assignment. Answer all sections fully
with supporting images (including your own screen grabs: CMD+SHIFT+4), links and any other evidence you feel is relevant

Talk about three issues you had during production. These could be based on practical parts of the work, supporting tasks
such as research or even audience surveys.
One problem I had was working out how I was specially going to make each of the bushes and branch move in the
1.
video and trying to tween them normally didn’t good.
Editing out the different parts of the background on photoshop was hard and I didn’t know how to properly do it
at first and made it look worse.

2.

I wanted have a water ripple effect which I wanted to give the water a detail to it to make it look like ite was doing
3.
something.
How/to what degree were you able to resolve each issue?
Once I had help as to how to lay each moving point across the timeline, I then turned each of the symbols (Bushes
1. and Branch) into asset warps by grabbing different corners of the pieces and moving them slowly from different
sides to make them look like they were moving in the wind.
I used the patch tool to pick different colours from the background to blend in the areas that had bushes and the
branch I wanted to re-create.

2.

I had help with a different idea to make the water shimmer but due to my own time management I wasn’t able to
3.
do this which would have improved the water.

Write about at least three things which well during the whole process?
Talk about what you felt went particularly well about them.
I feel that the bird went well and both colouring it and making it move more then once at two different times in
the loop in a different place.

1.

Drawing and colouring the three bushes and branch went well and I came across no trouble making them and
they turned out how I wanted them two.

2.

Making the video loop and ordering the layers went well and it was easy to follow what was what and where the
3.
move points were on the keyframes which helped when I added the bird.

And finally, write a small amount about what you enjoyed about the project which you could possibly use in future work
or assignments. This could be from research, design or your practical production process. Feel free to use screen grabs.
I enjoyed making and drawing the branch and bushes and tweening them to flow with the wind which will be very
helpful in the future for possibly my FMP as it gave me a better understanding. I enjoyed doing the blogs at the end of
each lesson as they were extremely helpful for me personally with knowing what I needed to get done for the next
lesson and how well I progressed through it and how I fixed the problems that I came across which has made me
appreciate how useful they actual are and I am going to use them a lot more effectively in future projects specifically my
FMP.
