Instruction:

1. This test comprised of two questions ie Question 1 and Question 2. You are required
to answer both questions using word document and save it as a file. Once you have
completed answering both questions, submit your answer script (in Word Doc) to the
Google Classroom.
2. Kindly use APA writing format, Font size 12, Times New Roman, 1.5 spacing.
3. Have an introduction and progress by addressing the needs of the question and ends
with a conclusion.
4. You may add your Islamic perspective or your own creed perspective.
5. Support your answer by citing references and write your references at the back.
6. Add page number to your answer script.
7. Length of each essay must not exceed 3 pages.

Questions:

1. What is your understanding of the function of; i) neurons and its structure (5 marks),
ii) neurogenesis process and the brain development in adolescence (5 marks)? iii)
How does adolescents think? iv) How does knowledge of the brain components or its
sections enable you to understand your students’ ability to learn and are there
significant gender differences in the learning process)? Discuss. (5 marks)

2. According to G. Stanley Hall, adolescence is known as the “storm and stress” period.
Discuss your understanding of the “storm and stress” period and factors affecting it.
(5 marks) What developmental aspect takes place during the “storm and stress” period
and how are adolescents affected? (10 marks) Are there significant gender differences
as regard to rapid developmental changes in adolescence? (5 marks) Discuss.
