CHEER DANCE COMPETITION

GUIDELINES & MECHANICS

 Each group shall be composed of at least 26 - 30 members. Members of the


groups may be composed of all males or females, or any combination thereof., 3
points will be deducted if there will be excess or deficient number of
participants.
 No outsiders or professional choreographer/s should be part of the group.
Automatic disqualification in the contest if the group fails to follow.
 The group must be at the contest area on time. Failure to come on time will get a
deduction of 3 points from the total score.
 Order of performances will be based on the number they had picked prior to the
contest.
 Groups must bring the music of their choice It should be submitted on or before
the competition started. There should be a back-up copy in case the submitted
music fails to play.
 Choreography should not be vulgar and must not contain any subliminal or
sexually suggestive act. Music should be wholesome and lively and must not
contain any subliminal, sexually suggestive, and vulgar lyrics/ language.
 The music must be at least 5 - 7 minutes including the preparations, run-ons with
jumps tumbling, stunts and lifting the like is strictly prohibited, participation in the
event is entirely at the dancers’ own risk.
 Use of props will be allowed as long as it will not cause any delay in the program
and any harm to the performance of other groups.
 Family Shirt (No alteration allowed) should be observed throughout the
competition. Removing pieces of clothing during the performance is allowed
provided that it is not offensive or out of character.
