    Lesson Learned Boreholes spacing building works


    - Boreholes in buildings with more than one story are usually spaced
    15m to 45m apart.
    - Two boreholes for a block of low rise building on flat land
    - Limestone locations, uncontrolled filled ground or boulders, and
    abundant places need more boreholes.
    Boreholes spacing Road works
    - Highway drilling spacing should be 60m–600m.
    - Road alignments through the same geological strata require fewer
    boreholes.
    - Three vertical boreholes are recommended for sloppy hilly terrain.
    Rock Quality Description
    - 0-25% = very poor
    - 25-50% = poor
    - 50-75% = Fair
    - 75-90% = Good
    - 90-100% = Excellent
