To be liberated, women must feel free to be herself, not in rivalry to the men but in her own

context.

On paper it looks like we have infact achieved liberation but is that the reality? No doubt women
have the opportunity to step out of the house, to attain top positions in every field but are they
really free from the shackles of their home their society. Government has many laws to stop the
injustice towards women like abolition of sati dowry child marriage women feoticide domestic abuse
sexual harassment etc but then why do you think they are still struggling ? why do we still have to
talk about these issues being a problem? I firmly believe It because as a society we believe women
are weak and its not just the males that believe this we ourselves believe that though god made
man and woman similar , we are weaker, we have more responsibility when it comes to taking care
of the household, we are the burden and also the bearer. Most of the parents don’t want their girls
to go out late at night even if its for their jobs their career why because they think outside world is
unsafe for them and that if they stay inside they will be safe and for this very reason 48% population
of indai that is wpmen goes into curfew at night . right to equality right to freedom all this becomes
worthless. however out every year 5 lakhs girls are killed inside their house simply because they are
girls, we did not let 63 million girls to come into this world simply because they are girls and all these
decisions are taken inside the house because in our country the poor as well as these rich and so
called educated people want a boy to carry their lineage and this image that women are inferior and
weak has been created since the childhood, as soon as girl is born she exepcted to play with Barbie
doll and all the caring cooperative toys and a boy is expected to play with guns cars all the aggressive
and competitive toys. It not the coice of the children their choice is made this way. U must have
heard phrases like don’t cry like a girl don’t run like a girl, so subconsiuscly is has made us believe
that there is a problem with being a girl. A boy is always taught to protect the women of their house.
And by teaching them we teach that girls need protection and they are vulnerable. Just a simple
logic ,that if a person has two children his her property will be didvided eqyally among the two our
constitution says this but our society does not follow. While women are sent away with 5% of the
property as dowry the man enjoys on that remaining 95% and in reality the women does not even
enjoy that 5%, its her husband that get the benefit. Still a woman owning her owning her own
home, while her husband simply living that home is considered to be tabbo, disrespect to the so
called man of the house.women around te world spend twice as hours doing work as the meneven
afyer that 99% of judges are male90% salary is taken by men 80 % seats in the parliament are
occupied by men 80% of the property in world is owned by men after listening to all thiswould you
say that women are liberated.
