IELTS WRITING
1. Lỗi diễn đạt tuyệt đối hóa là gì?
 Tuyệt đối hóa là lỗi khi mà người viết trình bày một quan điểm mang độ chắc
chắn tuyệt đối về một vấn đề nhất định. 

 Trong văn học thuật hay cụ thể hơn ở đây là IELTS Writing Task 2, người viết
cần thể hiện quan điểm cá nhân một cách khách quan bởi vì các quan điểm đó
có thể chỉ đúng đối với chính bản thân người viết, nhưng đối với những người
đọc bài viết thì chưa chắc quan điểm này đã đúng với trải nghiệm của họ.

 Đây là một lỗi ảnh hưởng trực tiếp đến 4 tiêu chí chấm điểm IELTS WRITING 
cụ thể là Task Response của IELTS Writing Task 2 và gây ảnh hưởng đến
điểm số bài thi

2. Các từ absolute words (Những từ mang tính

chất tuyệt đối)
Lưu ý:
 Các từ tuyệt đối bao gồm:
 All
 Always
 No
 Thay vào đó, nên sử dụng những từ sau:
 Almost = nearly all/ the majority of (hầu hết)
 Most of (hầu hết)
 Not all (không phải tất cả)

II. Cách tránh diễn đạt tuyệt đối

hóa IELTS Writing
1. Sử dụng động từ khiếm khuyết
Lưu ý:
 Các từ khiếm khuyết có thể sử dụng giúp câu khách quan hơn:
 · Can/ could
 · Would
· Should
· May/might
· To be likely
Ví dụ:
Playing video games too much will result in a poor academic performance at school.
Giải thích:
Câu này dùng will là mang tính chất tuyệt đối hoá, thay vào đó dùng các động từ
khiếm khuyết như may / might sẽ giảm bớt độ tuyệt đối nhé, có thể viết như sau:

Playing video games too much would result in a poor academic performance at
school.
If poor people receive financial support from the government, they will have a better
life 
Giải thích:
Ở câu trên dùng will sẽ mang tính tuyệt đối và cảm tính, thay vào đó nên viết:  
If poor people receive financial support from the government, they could make
enhancements to their living standards.
Since online shopping is becoming increasingly popular, people will eventually stop
going to physical stores (LỐI VIẾT TUYỆT ĐỐI) 

Since online shopping is becoming increasingly popular, people might gradually stop
going to physical stores (LỐI VIẾT TƯƠNG ĐỐI)

High-quality nursery schools could be established that would support families more

in terms of raising the next generation. 

2. Dùng trạng từ hoặc cụm từ phù hợp

2.1. Xét ví dụ dùng sai
  Trong câu này, always là trạng từ chỉ sự tuyệt đối, thay vào đó nên sử dụng
often hoặc usually 
2.2. Dùng các Trạng từ chỉ tần suất

This would lead to confusion or, in some cases, social anarchy.
2.4. Các cụm từ chỉ sự không chắc chắn

Có vẻ như/Dường như/Có xu hướng Có nhiều/ít khả năng
ví dụ:
 Locally-owned and family-run businesses are more likely to provide a
friendlier and better customer service than larger shopping malls and chain
stores.

3. Sử dụng các từ hạn định

Iưu ý:
  Nên sử dụng các từ hạn định sau, tránh các từ hạn định chỉ sự tuyệt đối như all,
every...

4. Không dùng nhiều thì SIMPLE PRESENT &
SIMPLE FUTURE
5. Nên dùng câu bị động thay vì chủ động nhiều
Có thể chuyển câu thành dạng câu bị động thay vì dùng thể chủ động nhiều cũng sẽ
giúp câu trở nên tuyệt đối hoá hơn
 Students’ academic performances would be negatively affected by playing
video games too much.
