PARAPHRASE
 DÙNG TỪ ĐỒNG NGHĨA

Đây là cách paraphrase thường gặp nhất và cũng có vẻ như đơn giản
nhất. Tuy nhiên, bạn nên lưu ý rằng từ đồng nghĩa bạn thay vào không
nhất thiết phải đồng nghĩa 100% với từ trong câu cho sẵn mà chỉ cần
mang nghĩa tương tự trong ngữ cảnh cho sẵn.
VD: More than half of the people who attended Mike’s seminar
thought it was great.
The majority of the people who went to Mike’s seminar thought
it was amazing

 CHUYỂN CHỦ ĐỘNG THÀNH BỊ ĐỘNG

Một trong những cách để paraphrase là bạn có thể chuyển câu đó từ

câu chủ động thành bị động hoặc ngược lại.
Đặc biệt, bạn có thể sẽ được thêm điểm GRAMMATICAL RANGE
AND ACCURACY khi có thể sử dụng được các loại câu bị động đặc
biệt.
VD: People say that overpopulation is caused by poverty.
Overpopulation is said to be caused by poverty.

 THAY ĐỔI WORD FORM

Với cách làm này, bạn sẽ cần chuyển đổi linh hoạt giữa các dạng
của từ đó (tính từ, danh từ, động từ, trạng từ). Tuy nhiên, bạn nên
lưu ý đổi cấu trúc ngữ pháp của những từ đi kèm với nó để đảm bảo
sự chính xác về ngữ pháp.
VD:Watching a movie may help people feel excited and satisfied.
Watching a movie may help people feel excited and achieve a
sense of satisfaction.

 THAY ĐỔI WORD FORM

Đôi khi, bạn sẽ cần thay đổi cả chủ ngữ của câu.
VD:The amount of water in the river has increased significantly.
There has been a significant increase in the amount of water
in the river.

 DÙNG MỆNH ĐỀ QUAN HỆ

Mệnh đề quan hệ cũng có thể được dùng để paraphrase khi nối câu.
Nếu có thể, bạn nên sử dụng các dạng mệnh đề quan hệ rút gọn.
VD: That is the man. He was arrested last month for petty theft.
That is the man who was arrested last month for petty theft.
That is the man arrested last month for petty theft.

Với cách làm này, bạn sẽ cần tách câu gốc thành 2 mệnh đề để nhấn
mạnh vấn đề được nói đến.
VD: She liked Thanos the most in Avengers: Infinity War.
It was Thanos that she liked the most in Avengers: Infinity War.
Game of Thrones won the Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series in
2019.
It was Game of Thrones which won the Emmy for Outstanding
