   Color duplex Doppler study of carotid vessels performed.

Common carotid, carotid bulbs, bifurcation, external carotid and internal carotid
arteries are examined on both sides.

Intimal thickening is normal, no plaques, no calcifications.

No evidence of significant luminal narrowing.

No evidence of haemodynamically significant obstruction to blood flow.

Measurements :

Cc                            24.9                                27.3

Ic                             62.2                                39.4

Ic/cc                         1.60                                1.34

Flow in both vertebral arteries is seen and normal


    Rt v - 23 cm/sec        &        Lt v - 20 cm/sec.             

Conclusion: Color Doppler U S findings of carotid and vertibral vessels are within


normal limits.

Note: Not all pathological lesions are detectable on USG, advise clinical correlation & discuss as & when necessary.2
