BASIC FIRE SAFETY TRAINING AND SEMINAR

REFLECTION

Basic Fire Safety Training is an essential activity for all establishments and is a necessity
for all of us. It is for most of us very vital because anywhere there is danger, especially fire.
Fire can cause great danger and damage to property. It can even cause fatalities.

During the training, I personally had learned a lot of things. Although I had already
previously several Basic Fire Training yet, this training had really made me understood
everything about fire safety. I learned the proper use fire extinguisher, and when it will be
used. I also learned the ways on what to do whenever an LPG tank is on fire. The
demonstration had given me so much knowledge on what to do really when there is fire.

Other then safety on fire, I also learned some helpful tips on what to do whenever there is
an earthquake. I learned that whenever there is no table or area where someone can duck
during an earthquake, it is but important to find the building’s pillar. It is the safest part since
the building when it falls will not possibly congest on the pillar. It is also very essential to
stay away from areas where debris will fall upon evacuation and of course to always do the
duck, cover and hold position.

The training was indeed very helpful to me. It has offered me ways on what really to do
during fire or natural calamities like earthquake. It is alright to take actions in order to stop
the fire yet, when the situation already is very dangerous, then it is important to save one’s
life. Saving lives is more important than any other things for life is more precious and we
only live once.
