Final Capstone Refelction Journal Entry

My capstone project's path has its share of ups and downs. It was occasionally difficult to obtain
material because I didn't have a mentor for my capstone project, but with the assistance of my
dad, uncle, and aunt, I was able to do it. During the time I spent on my capstone project, I
learned a lot about accounting and how it can benefit individuals in their everyday lives as well
as the community and society at large.
Since I was small, I have sat next to my father as he works. I noticed him using the
calculator, and when I questioned what he was doing, he said that he was playing with numbers
because it made him happy. And subsequently, when I was most keen, I enrolled in Accounting
11 classes, where I discovered that creating balance sheets, examining transactions, and finishing
journals were enjoyable tasks.
In my capstone project, I did my best to demonstrate all six of my key core
- competencies. Critical thinking was one of the qualities I believe I reflected in my capstone the
most. I made an effort to include all of my ideas in the article. At start, I wasn't simple. I
conducted a lot of research and learnt a lot about accounting throughout the capstone. I had a
rudimentary understanding of what accounting was, but after doing some research, numerous
new themes emerged. I occasionally needed hours or even days to fully comprehend the
information it supplied.
The part of my capstone of which I am most happy is that I persevered to the very end and
did my best to compile all the data I could into an essay.
I ran into a few challenges while finishing the capstone, one of which being the lack of a
mentor. Working on my capstone was challenging at first since I had no one to lead me. But
subsequently, I'm grateful that my father stood by me, supporting me in whatever way he could,
and encouraging me to keep going.
One piece of advise I would want to provide to students completing capstone projects the
next year is to plan ahead. Take your time to consider the topic thoroughly and seek out
assistance if needed.
