Social Media Addiction

Meaning:
Social media addiction is a behavioral addiction that is characterized as being overly concerned
about social media, driven by an uncontrollable urge to log on to or use social media, and
devoting so much time and effort to social media that it impairs other important life areas.

The objective of this study was to assess the prevalence of social media addiction among SHS
students in ACLC College of Ormoc, to assess the health problems related to social media usage
and to assess the various factors associated with social media addiction.

Sleep deprivation
Meaning:
Sleep deprivation is when you aren’t sleeping enough, or you aren’t getting good, quality sleep.
When it’s severe or happens over an extended period, it can cause very disruptive symptoms
that interfere with even the most routine activities. Long-term sleep deprivation can worsen
many major health conditions. This condition is usually treatable.

The purpose of this study is to explore the effects of sleep deprivation. This study will develop
the students’ awareness towards the importance of having an adequate sleep. In addition, it
should also enlighten the minds of the learners of how late-night sleeping affects their capacity
to learn and perform in school.

Current Learning Methods

Meaning:
The current learning method which focuses more on teaching the students for improving their
intellect behavior by using various new and innovative ideas rather than making them recite the
syllabus to clear the examination with the same old style is Modern Teaching Methods in
simple words.

The objective is to cope up with the modern world and the knowledge-driven era of technology,
adopting modern ways.
In recent years, the scope of knowledge in the field of science and technology has dramatically
increased, and human’s ability to adapt to new knowledge in science and technology has also
increased. So, there is an immense need for innovative and creative minds to explore unknown
and unrevealed areas of different fields.
