Objectives (3-4) In this performance task, the students are expected to:
1. Discuss the challenges that an adolescent experiences.
2. Clarify and manage the demands of adolescence stage
3. Express his/her feelings on the expectations of the significant people around him/her.
Title of Performance Task: Movie Analysis
Description (at least 50 words)

Challenges happen in all phases of a person’s life. During adolescence, the challenges are most daunting
because they seem to come all at the same time. However, challenges are the drivers of change and development. It
is with these challenges that an adolescent finds and moulds his/her personality and character.

Procedure (at least 3-5 steps)


1. The class will work by pair or solo.

2. In this performance task, you are to watch and analyze the challenges that adolescent characters in the movie or
series go through.
Options:
* Anak
* The Breakfast Club
* Mean Girls
* Sex Education (NetFlix Series)
* You may choose from the following movies or series where adolescent challenges is the main story.

3. Answer the following questions:


1. Write a brief summary of the movie or series you have watched.

2. What are the adolescent challenges covered by the movie or series? (Identify at least 3 challenges)
What are the challenges experienced by the main characters (at least 3 main character for series)? How did
these challenge came about?

3. Is there anything in the movie that you find similar to your situation (cite the scene)? Was your approach in
handling it similar to the character in the movie? What could you have done differently?

4. Did the movie change your view about challenges of an adolescent like you experiences? How?

5. Challenges during adolescence can be tough, you are searching for your true identity and expectations are
slowly becoming high. What are the things that you learned from the movie (provide at least 3) that you think
can create a change for you in the future and how?
