Goal:
To capture and present the essence of daily life in the Philippines through
photographs, applying the elements and principles of arts and utilizing various speech acts,
content, and styles to convey the stories behind the images.

Role:
You are a photographer who will capture compelling images of everyday life in
the Philippines, and you will be crafting engaging presentations and eloquently convey the
stories within the photographs.

Audience:
Peers, teachers, and potentially the broader community.

Situation:
The participants will embark on a photography assignment to document daily life in
the Philippines. The presentations will take place in a classroom or an exhibition setting.

Product:
Each participant will create a presentation that includes a photograph and a verbal
narrative. They will explain the photograph's artistic elements and principles and convey the
significance of the scene they captured in a cultural, informative, persuasive, or entertaining
manner.

Photography Component (50 points):


Artistic Elements and Principles (20 points): How effectively does the photograph utilize
elements and principles of arts, such as composition, balance, color, contrast, and focal
points?
Relevance to Daily Life (15 points): Does the photograph represent an authentic and
meaningful aspect of Filipino daily life?
Quality and Originality (15 points): Is the photograph well-composed, technically sound, and
original in its portrayal of daily life?

Presentation Component (50 points):


Speech Act (15 points): How effectively does the presenter use various speech acts, such as
descriptive language, narratives, explanations, or expressions of emotion, to engage the
audience?
Speech Content (20 points): Is the content informative, culturally enlightening, persuasive, or
entertaining, depending on the chosen speech style?
Speech Style (15 points): How well does the presenter adopt an appropriate speech style,
such as informative, persuasive, entertaining, or ceremonial, considering the audience and
purpose of the presentation?

Overall Evaluation:
Creativity (15 points): How creative and innovative are both the photograph and the
presentation?
Audience Engagement (10 points): How well does the presentation captivate and engage the
audience?
