Problem Analysis and Research Method

Name: Rosemarie D. Obquia BSES 2A

Instructor: Ian A. Navarrete,PhD

The Southern Leyte State University-Hinunangan Campus hosted an ASS, or Atomic

Absorption Spectrophotometer, Orientation and Practical Training, one-day event on
October 20, 2022. Since our very own Mr. Ian A. Navarrete, PhD, made significant efforts
only to have the orientation and training, the event's peaceful, fresh, yet intelligent
atmosphere is not a coincidence. The reason SLSU Hinunangan purchased this AAS
laboratory equipment in the first place is why AAS orientation was held there. This
university is really fortunate to have Mr. Navarrete. He seems to be able to accomplish
the seemingly impossible, which is undoubtedly due to his successes, which serve as
proof of his success. All SLSU students, instructors, and staff had fresh experiences
throughout the productive morning introduction and afternoon practical training.

With the assistance of Mr. Lemuel Ferrer, the entire morning's orientation at the SLSU
Multi-Academic Building MAB informed students and everyone else in attendance about
the new laboratory equipment. The person who explained all the techniques and proper
usage of AAS was Mr. Lemuel Ferrer. He is a chemist, and we are honored to hear such
a beautiful and informed talk from him.

Staff members, students, and the instructor were grouped in the afternoon. Each group
had an opportunity to examine the atomic absorption spectrometer lab tools up close.
Mr. Lemuel Ferrer spoke and led each group. He demonstrated how the ASS lab
equipment functions, went over its operation, and clarified the functions of each
component or portion. Many lessons were learned by the conclusion of the afternoon,
and I want to thank everyone who helped make this happen.
