laboaratory managers and science teachers on laboratory
management and enhancing teir practical skills in the utilization
NARRATIVE REPORT and manipulation of apparatuses, materials and equipment last
February 08, 2023. The school inset started at exactly 8:00 o’clock
in the morning with the singing of the Philippine National Anthem
through an audio-visual presentation followed by a simple prayer
led by Mrs. Crisanta M. Salamat . For the checking of attendance,
Mrs. Junalyn J. Fernando asked each participants to say their
grade level and say if they are complete. Food for tought was
given by Mrs. Zenaida R. Mendoza she explained that what we
know is a drop and what we do not know is ocean. She explained
that teachers should continue to grow, explore and thirst for
wisdom and knowledge. Mr. Armando P. Valencia Principal II,
delivered his opening remarks and stated the purpose of the school
inset. Mrs. Teresa B. Roxas, one of the resource speaker of the
school inset, tackled and share her expertise and knowledge in
identifying Science apparatuses, materials and equipment and
explained the different functions of each equipment.
The second speaker Mrs. Gloria C. Dela Cruz discussed how
to utilize each apparatuses and equipment and gave an activity in
order for the participants to understand her topic.
Mrs. Evangeline Valencia shared her impressions about
the importance of the proper utilization of Science equipment
knowing your lab equipment well before you do any type of
experiment because without the proper knowledge of your
equipment you will not know how to use your materials or how to
correct a mistake that you could make with your equipment.
Science can be fun but it can also be dangerous because you can
be working with any kind of objects, chemicals, or minerals that
may be able to harm you or someone else.  You must know your
lab equipment and how to use it for not only your experiment but
also faults that may occur during or after the experiment.  This is
why I feel it is important to know your lab equipment.
In the evaluation/assessment of school inset, Mrs. Anicia S.
Paraiso said that the objectives of the inset were attained because
majority of the teachers were able to answer the activity that the
speaker presented. This new learning would surely of great help to
them in delivering lessons in Science with confidence.
The school inset ended at 5:00 o’clock in the afternoon.
