I. RATIONALE

Amid the continuing national public health emergency due to COVID-19, the

Department of Education remains resolved to find ways to improve the provision of

learning opportunities to all Filipino learners for school year 2022-2023 guided by

Department Order No. 35 series 2025 otherwise known as Guidelines on Enrollment for

School Year 2022–2023 in the Context of Re-Introduction of the In-Person Classes.

Of the numerous programs as well as initiatives which are pro-active to the call of

ensuring every Batang Sarangan is in the school. Enrolment spots higher chances in

realization of the school’s target. It is an annual activity of the department which caters

all eligible learners.

In this light, DepEd issues guidelines in order to clarify the roles of key

stakeholders in the enrolment process; to introduce improvements in the reporting

mechanisms.

The teaching forces of Isidro Hulom Elementary School conducted a house to

house enrolment campaign from August 15, 2022 to the different sitios and puroks of

Barangay Kabatiol and Kablacan, Maasim, Sarangani Province which is most of

learners are residing with help of local community partners. It is followed by in – person

enrolment in the school.

II. WHAT WENT RIGHT

The following were the positive turn outs from house to house campaign and in-

person enrolment in the school:

1. Drop outs of the past school were catch up and enrolled this school year

resulting to the rise of enrolment.

2. Parents are encouraged to participate in the enrolment process and Brigada

Eskwela.

3. Teachers and school administrators were able to hear the feedback of

parents from the last modality through conversation during the enrolment

process.

III. WHAT WENT WRONG?

Some of the interruptions the enrolment team faced are the following:

1. Parents were out for farming up mountains as their major source of

living.

2. A number of learners transferred out to different schools.

3. Parents were giving up because of lack of education.

IV. RECOMMENDATION

Constant follow up towards the parents and learners will be given more emphasis

in the course of this school year to assure that learners are staying in school.
