 Garbage should be disposed properly.
 Water must not be allowed to collect anywhere as this
can become breeding place for mosquitoes.
 Spraying of kerosene on the surface of water to form a
thin film as this blocks oxygen and kills larvae of
mosquitoes.

 Contamination of food by microorganisms result into
food spoilage.
 Food poisoning
 Caused due to consumption of spoiled food.
 Microorganisms secrete toxic substance which makes
the food poisonous causing serious illness and even
death.
 Causative microbes – Salmonella, Clostridium,
Staphylococcus.
 Therefore food should be preserved.
