Job Description for Assistant Manager – HR Operations
Responsibilities:
Payroll & Full and Final process:
Should have strong knowledge of payroll processing in HRMS portal and Labour compliance with best practices. Manage day-to-day payroll deliverables, integrity of payroll data and coordination with HR and payroll agency. Manage and disbursement of full and final settlement in line with compliance policy and in prescribed TAT. Ensuring correct calculation and partnering in bonus/ variable pay (Quarterly / Annually) working in line with company policy Responsible for continuous process improvement within the Payroll Process. Maintain all employees’ personnel files. Co-ordinate closely with Finance team to get relevant information and reports on various monthly/ quarterly accounting closure activities Compliance: Ensuring and filing annual returns as per rules and regulations within timeline with the support of compliance agency. Knowledge of compliance matters, such as timely regulatory filings related to wage laws, policies, and procedures Ensuring compliance under various acts considered while performing salary revision. MIS: Partnering with F&A Manager to prepare various MIS from time to time for data reconciliation HR Operations: Responsible for closing daily operational activities like issuing appointment letters, exit letters and various other letters as per request of the employees Ensure to timely resolve of the employee queries. HR Audit: Support F&A Manager with Quarterly & Annual Statutory audits. Employee Engagement: Establishing touch points with people through various initiatives, which includes but not limited to one-one with employees, Business Heads, Focus group discussions with employees etc Formal & Informal communication to employees on various HR initiatives / policies as deemed relevant from time to time. Enabling employee connect with the Senior Management through various initiatives Drive initiatives based on feedback from Employee Engagement survey scores and strive for improving the scores year-on-year. Onboarding: Ensuring adherence to joining formalities for all new hires and assimilation of them into the organization. Rewards & Recognition: Ensure adherence and deployment of the R & R framework and promote a culture of recognition in the organization Grievance and Query Resolution: Identify and address people issues and encourage usage of HR Helpdesk for effective handling of queries and getting it redressed in a timely manner. Compliance Management: Ensure 100% adherence compliance requirements for the unit on the people front. Liaise with the various stakeholders towards running initiatives specific to Corporate Social Responsibility, Fun Fridays, Cultural events etc Talent management: Retention Management and EWI (Early Warning Indicators)
Required Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
MBA in HR Proven experience as HR Senior Executive / Assistant Manager Experience: 5-8 years Age: Below 35yrs HRIS & ERPs Functional Knowledge Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures Very Strong Communication (Both Verbal & Writing – English) Very strong working knowledge MS Office Ability to identify forward looking indicators that impact HR Team performance. Experience in building a decision support system. Good knowledge of various employment/labour laws Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality
