Assignment # 7

I divide this assignment into five Paragraphs as Per the assignment requirement. In the

First Paragraph, you will get the answers regarding what Paragraph answered to which specific

question.

Overview:

In the Second Paragraph, I will answer the questions “How many shoes, boots, sneakers, and

purses do you own? How many jeans, shirts, sweaters do you own? Are these designer items?”.

In the third Paragraph, I will answer the questions “How many electronic devices do you own

(televisions, cell phones, tablets, computers, and video gaming systems)? Do you tend to buy the

latest product as soon as it hits the stores? How often do you shop?”. In Fourth Paragraph I will

answer the questions “How does it make you feel when you buy something new?  How do you

pay for the items you purchase?”. Last Paragraph will be about “Do you feel that you are being

manipulated to be a consumer? If so how?” 

Wardrobe and Wear:

As I was checking my inventory for Wardrobe and wear. I found out that I had about 12

shirts (4 Full sleeves and 8 half-sleeves). Next, in wardrobe, I got 6 Jeans (2 for business or

outdoor and 4 for indoors and events). I got 2 sweaters (1 parachute and 1 wool). I got 4 pairs of

shoes (2 for casual and 2 for Sports). I got one pair of boots (high boots). I got 2 pairs of

sneakers (1 for bathing and 1 for indoor Purposes). That’s all I had in terms of Wardrobe and

wear.

Electronic Devices:

In terms of Electronic devices, I got one cell phone and 2 computers (1 laptop and 1

desktop) next I have one television in my house. I didn’t have a tablet but the desktop computer

mentioned was Gaming System. I didn’t shop quite often. I shop for electronics whenever I feel

that this product is too old and can’t take the burden of my tasks or whenever the Product

became faulty and gets out of order. No, I didn’t buy a new Product as soon it hit the market

because the current Product is covering my need and I didn’t think that it was the right time to

switch to a new product.

    Buying a Product:

When I was going to market to buy a new item. I was excited about the item of electronic

I was going to buy and the buying of new computers or laptops make me feel more excited

because I was eager to buy them. And I just can’t wait to test them on my own and work on them

while sitting in my home. I had a debit card which I use to pay for all the bills I had.

Manipulation:

Yes, I felt that I was being manipulated as a consumer. This manipulation had to do with

a few items I purchase and not all. Few are based on other relatives or family members’

experience related to the Product like in grocery items. But when I go to purchase a laptop for

myself I was more likely to get manipulated as a consumer because some Products showcase

themselves on top of other competitors in growth and quality which lead me to buy their product

instead of others. Like in terms of Apple Product if someone got the budget they will prefer it to

others due to their manipulation.
