SCRIPT FOR THE VIRTUAL BRIGADA KICK-OFF

CEREMONY
Aly: COVID-19 has reshaped the walks and ways of our society. But, in spite,
we have shown our resilience and cooperation and rise above this sudden and
appalling event; truly, a genuine emblem of BAYANIHAN. Good day! I am Jan
Alysson L. Laurio.

Tin: Hi, I am Maria Kristina B. Quiap.

AND WELCOME TO…

Together: The 2021 Brigada Eskwela Virtual Kick-Off!

Tin: With the theme “Bayanihan para sa Paaralan," Our theme recognizes the
essence of collaboration and strengthening partnership of the Department of
Education and Stakeholders for a quality education.

Aly: That’s true, Ma’am Tin. This is also to ensure that education will continue
amidst the threat that this virus poses.

Tin: As we are about to begin, please watch our live stream in the official
Facebook page of the SDO Aurora, Department of Education Division of
Aurora.

Alysson: And on that note, Ma’am Tin, let us now start with our program.

…AVP…

Alysson: Covid-19 has really left a permanent mark to everyone. Despite of the
lethal effect it caused and challenges we are facing, we have learned to become
even more optimistic, sympathetic, and selfless. This is the second year that we
are conducting Brigada Eskwela away from the traditional way we do it in the
past 8 years.

Tin: That’s right!

And this is not going to be possible without the people behind this meaningful
event. Therefore, we would like to express our gratitude and congratulate them
for their initiative and sacrifices.

Alysson: Yes partner. And with us today in this momentous program is our
Chief Education Program Supervisor, Dr. Charlaw G. Quiben for the Opening
Remarks.
Tin: Thank you so much Sir Charlaw for your message.

Now to present the participants of todays’ event, let us all welcome the
Administrative Officer V of the Schools Division of Aurora, Ma’am
Florentina L. Catipon!

Alysson: Thank you so much, Ma’am Florentina.

And to give us the Statement of Purpose, let us have our Senior Education
Program Specialist Dr. Alfredo M. Lopez Jr.

Tin: Thank you, Sir Alfred!

At this very moment, let us all be inspired and energized!!

With a warm round of applause, lend your ears to Miss Jessa Mae D. Caimoy
of Ramada National High School!

Alysson: That definitely deserves a big hand!

No one was truly prepared when the pandemic hit us. I remember in 2019 when
Covid-19 first alarmed the Philippines. The school year is yet to end, but my
colleagues and I were already doubtful about how education would continue if
Covid-19 prevails. But there are these exceptional individuals who rose from
the occasion and showed our country what sound leadership is.

To start with, we will be hearing a message from our Secretary of Education,

Secretary LEONOR M. BRIONES.

Tin: Thank you so much Ma’am Leonor.

At this juncture, to show her commitment and support, let us now hear the
message of our Regional Director May D. Eclar.

Alysson: This Dep.Ed Program wouldn’t be possible without the head of this
event. The one that set the challenge.

To show his support, let’s hear a message from the Regional Brigada Eskwela
Coordinator, Ginno Jhep A. Pacquing.

Tin: Thank you sir.

Now to give us a message of support, let us give a big hand for the pillar of
Schools Division of Aurora, our School Division Superintendent, Dr. Catalina
P. Paez CESO V.
One of the objectives of Brigada Eskwela is to strengthen the relationship of
DepEd and stakeholders in providing quality education for our learners. For
every program of the Department of Education, one cannot deny the utmost
support from our National and Local Government Units. Especially this time
around, they proved to us the true meaning of “commitment”.

At this very moment, we will hear messages of support for the 2021 Brigada
Eskwela from National and Local Government Unit leaders starting off with
SENATOR JUAN EDGARDO ANGARA.

Aly: Thank you Senator for your unending support.

This time, let us listen to our loyal representative, our very own, Congressman
Rommel Rico T. Angara!

Tin: Another message will be given to us by the leader of Aurora Province,

giving you, Governor Gerardo A. Noveras.

Aly: Thank you so much, Governor Gerry.

We are fortunate today that we are joined with the municipal mayors of the
province of Aurora as they share their supportive hearts to us.

Tin: Once again, thank you so much to our supportive leaders from the LGU.

We are also commending all the members of the LGUs. Thank you for the
steadfast leadership.

On the other hand, we are truly blessed that in the province of Aurora, support
doesn’t just come alone from the Government. Private sectors also had proven
that working together makes the work more meaningful.

To give us a message of support, let us give a virtual applause for the BUKAS
LOOB SA DIYOS organization.

Aly: As a token of appreciation for his valuable contribution, SDO-Aurora

awards this plaque of Recognition. (Reading the content of the plaque) awards
to Hon. GERARDO A. NOVERAS… BUKAS LOOB SA DIYOS.

Alysson: Thank you once again!

As we are about to close our program, to give us the Closing Remarks

and message of gratitude, here is the School Governance and Operations
Division Chief, Sir GILBERT F. BAYUDANG!
Tin: Thank you so much Sir Gilbert and to all of our outstanding leaders from
different sectors. Thank you for making this event possible.

You know partner, the pandemic has changed the face of education globally and
learners across the world are forced to deal with the new normal. But one thing
has not changed, it is the goal and purpose of the Department of Education.

Alysson: That’s right! One cannot win a war alone and unprepared. But through
the values of Brigada Eskwela, we can go the distance. Once again, I am Jan
Alysson L. Laurio.

Tin: and I am Maria Kristina B. Quiap.

Together: Tara na, Brigada na!!
