TEACHER’S CODE OF CONDUCT

Dear teacher,

Thank you for accepting to work with us. Therefore, having accepted to work with us,

I wish to encourage you read this code of conduct carefully, therefore you are
requested to put your signature at the end in acceptance of the same.

A teacher of Jjeza Islamic Centre shall:-

1. Arrive at school early enough as per the time indicated by the school authority
(before 7:00am)
2. Time to time obey orders from the top administration.
3. Abide by any change caused by the school administration.
4. Make sure that the time table is fully adhered to as put by the administration.
5. Not involve him or herself in unnecessary rumor mongering that may result in
disintegrating the staff or in any way undermining harmony at school.
6. Not use vulgar language that undermines the integrity of a teacher.
7. Not involve him or herself in extra marital status with pupils.
8. Write schemes of work, lesson plans, record of work and present them to the
administration for approval.
9. Attend to all staff meetings without fail or else write to the administration why
he/she has not attended.
10. Attend to all his or her lessons without fail or else write a letter indicating why
he or she has not turned up. If he/she has not turned up must leave work for
pupils.
11. Show parental care to his or her pupils by attending to their academic and any
other social problem.
12. Not communicate to pupils in locals (Luganda, Swahili etc.) as this will lead to
undesirable reconsideration of his or her post as a teacher.
13. Make full use of the available teaching/ instructional materials like text books,
teaching aids etc..
14. Make a conducive learning environment i.e. make different learning materials in
order to facilitate the learning capability of pupils.
15. Make sure that pupils notes are checked and make any necessary corrections;
must mark exercises given.
16. Help pupils get used to answering questions in full sentences.
17. Participate fully in all school programmes e.g. sport,
debates,prayer,music,dance and drama etc.
18. Mind the safety of all school property e.g. desk, textbooks, classes etc.
19. Wear decently in a manner that does not disorganize pupils during the teaching
and learning process or even on the school compound.
