Dear Seydou,

Thank you for joining our meeting the other day. It was good to have you and hear your point
of view regarding Omar’s wish to expand the tablet rollout to include all of the restaurant
areas.

I totally agree with you that the rollout in all of the restaurant might be quite risky and
personally I find it to be beyond our capacity and the project’s scope.
I appreciate your words and your experience and also your honesty in stating that you would
love to sell us more tablets but you just don’t think it’s the right thing to do.
As a project manager with quite some field experience I believe starting small and scaling fast
if everything is in place eventually leads to more success, customer satisfaction and happier
employees. And this is what I want for this project and the company at large.

So I want to ask you to join forces with me and meet with Deanne and Omar to convince them
to reconsider their decisiveness regarding the size of the test area and stick to our original
plan.

I would love to cooperate with you on that and look forward to your answer.

Kindly,
Peta

Dear Alex,

First I want to thank you for our good, and fun collaboration, and also for your honesty the
other day at our meeting.

I totally agree with you that the expansion of the tablet rollout is beyond our capacity and just
too big for the moment. As a project manager with 5+years of experience I learned over and
over again that starting small and going big after a good start is so much more worthwhile
than going all-in when not everybody is prepared. So I hear you. Your concerns regarding
staff morale and things not going smooth are mine as well. After spending as I perceive quite
some effort on stabilizing your team we shouldn’t crash it with a little too much motivation or a
project scope that is beyond our capacity. As I want this project to succeed everyone needs to
be good with the decisions made.

So I want to ask you to join forces with me and convince Deanna and Omar to stick with the
original rollout plan and go for slowlier, more stable and gradual approach to success.
What do you think? Don’t hesitate to call me if you feel like talking to me on the phone instead
of writing such a long email as I did.

I am excited to hear from you.

Kindly,
Peta
