Assessment Plan
The end purpose of this course is to help teachers become more motivated, self-
directed, and evaluative in their teaching practices by conducting action research. Action
researchers in education will produce new information and opinions based on their
observations in the classroom. We want to underline how crucial each of these is to you
and your work as a researcher and instructor. These experiences, convictions, and
theories are frequently undervalued when more formal knowledge (such as textbooks,
curriculum standards, and district standards) is given precedence. One of the main goals
of action research in the classroom is to appreciate and further examine these beliefs and
theories based on experiences.
