Job perform
i. MOBILIZATION TO SITE: We left Port Harcourt at about 8:00hour.
At about 11:40 hours, we arrived at customer office/accommodation site
located at Unyenge. Thereafter, we had induction with the Chief Security
Officer (CSO). After which, we proceed to customer plants site location
where basic health signs/checks were carried out. The site safety officer
conducted safety and medical induction.
ii. PERMIT TO WORK: Our client HSE reviewed our work method
statement and job hazard analysis, thereafter, permit to work was raised.
iii. DISMANTLING OF FLANGES: the inter-connecting lines to 1st stage
chamber of the heat X – changer was dismantled. Thereafter, the flange
to flange end were spaded to prevent water into the system/unit during
pressure testing.
iv. PREPARATION FOR LEAK TEST: After the spading of the flange to
flange end of the pipes, the hydro-test equipment was connected to the
first stage of the heat x-changer.
v. INTRODUCTION OF WATER AND LEAK TEST: The first stage
was filled with water and pressure tested up to 600 PSI and no leak was
observed. The leak test will be repeated tomorrow before the certificate
of first stage will be carried out.
CHALLENGE: There was no challenge on site
PERCENTAGE COMPLETION: 30%
LOOK AHEAD: Certificate of 1st and 2nd stage before the close of work
tomorrow.

There was no casualty in today’s operation.
